Redmond Pet Care, a Premium Pet Care Company, is owned and operated by Ron and Roberta Shirley of Redmond, Oregon.

Roberta, a life-long animal lover, was born in Bend and has lived in the Bend/Redmond area most of her life.  Her grandparents, Mahlon and Mary Couch, were ranchers in Tumalo and raised their seven children there.  Couch Market Road is named after them.  Roberta has been a pet and house sitter while working for the Home Health Department of St. Charles Medical Center for the past 20 years.  She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and participating in walking events such as the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Heaven Can Wait, The Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure, Cystic Fibrosis Walk, and the Jingle Bell Run.

Ron, born and raised in San Francisco, is also a life-long animal lover.  He worked as an Assistant Golf Pro before becoming an Executive Chef.  He is Marriott and California Culinary Academy trained.  Ron spent 28 years in the Lake Tahoe area operating restaurants at upscale golf resorts and a European style hiking and fishing lodge.  Ron moved to Bend in 2000 and became caregiver to his mother, a dementia patient.  Ron enjoys skiing, golf, hiking, and snowshoeing.

Ron and Roberta met in 2002 at the Caregivers Support Meetings at St. Charles Hospital and were married in January 2006.  Together they have three cats...Orange Peel, Boots, and Yubie.
